Sting wrapped up the summer leg of his European tour with a performance at the Latitude Festival in Suffolk last Friday. The Cambridge News reported that Sting "brought every single generation together" and "He was not only enjoyed by the older audience but was able to bring together families for the ideal end of the first full day of the festival". “Sting’s album ‘The Bridge’ is intimate (‘The Hills on the Border’) and introspective (‘Harmony Road’) with moments of declarative urgency (‘Rushing Water’) and delicate emotion (‘For Her Love).’ It’s also rife with motivic exploration (‘If It’s Love’) and playful fancy (‘Captain Bateman’s Basement’). I took these photos during the recording sessions for this album in the isolated times of November 2020...

Last week Sting played his first ever concert in the historic city of Lincoln at the 11th century castle which is home to one of the original copies of the 1215 Magna Carta. The show was part of the summer Live at Lincoln Castle series and Sting was supported by Sophie Grey and Imelda May. A gallery of images from the show can be viewed here...

Isle of Wight Festival crowds were treated to a breath-taking headline set by the legendary Sting on Friday night. The ex-Police frontman started the show with Message In A Bottle, causing a frenzy as the sun set on Seaclose Park. The hits didn't stop coming, with Sting playing Fields of Gold, Englishman in New York, and Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic...

"One of the first bands I ever saw was Cream. I also saw the Jimi Hendrix Experience when I was 14, but then I saw Cream, and they kind of turned my head around, ha ha! It was a very formative experience to see those two bands. And then I was in the Police, so the trio thing was prevalent."
